The Mysterious Mechanic

I never forgot the testimony Dad shared with me many years ago. My Dad, Mom, and his mother went to West Virginia during winter. As they were on their way back home, it was after midnight. Back then, there were not many cars on the road. They were caught in a blizzard on their way. They were alone on the road for many miles. Then the car stops on its own and would not restart. Dad tried numerous times to restart it, but it would not budge. So, he went out to check under the hood. My Mom and Grandmother saw the bright headlight as it drew nearer to their car. They saw the man come out of his car and walked past the car to my Dad. The stranger asked my Dad if he could help. My Dad jumped and was startled to see a man standing before him. He said the man had a hood over his face and Dad could not see or make out his face. Dad explained to him about the car trouble. The man touched the car, and it started up the engine. Dad was surprised and wanted to thank the man. But the man had disappeared. Bewildered, my Dad looked up and down the highway that stretched for miles, he saw no sign of the man nor his car. There were inches of snow on the highway, and there was no indication showing the man’s feet nor his car track. When Dad entered his car, he asked Mom and Grandmother if they had seen the man. They testified that they did and saw the headlights too. Dad shook his head in amazement. He told them what had happened. They were all speechless. So, when they arrived to their hometown, they stopped at the gas station. The car died out as soon as it reached the station’s pavement. Dad explained to the attendant what had happened to his car and their trip from West Virginia. The attendant looked under the hood of a car. He took off his cap, scratched his head, and looked at my Dad, puzzling. He told my Dad that there was no way he traveled from West Virginia. My Dad reassured him that they did. The attendant insisted they could not have because the car was out of oil completely. Dad was shocked and dumbfounded because they had driven for hundreds of miles after the mechanic fixed their car in West Virginia. Was the mechanic an Angel, they wondered?

Yah works in mysterious ways. You will never know when you encountered one of his angels. Yah does watches over you, especially when you are alone or in the dark. No matter how fierce your storm may be, He provides a way to help you through. You may not understand His way, but His ways are better than our ways. He helps you on your journey whether you have nothing, little, or much. If He can have the car driven for miles without oil in winter, surely He can carry you through your storm or darkness. Nothing is impossible with Yah. He, who began a good work in you, surely will complete His perfect work in you! He is strong when you are weak. His grace is sufficient for your needs. No matter where you are in your life, Yah’s love can be trusted. He will help you reach the destiny for your eternal life if you solely believe and rely on Him and His words.

He could have let my Dad, Mom, and Grandmother stranded on the highway in the middle of West Virginia. They probably would have died from hypothermia. It was not their time yet. He provided a way for their help and carried them safely to the gas station in their hometown. He was their oil that carried them back home! HalleluYah! (Praise be to Yah!)

John 16:33

“These words I have spoken to you, that in Me you might have peace. In the world you have pressure, but take courage, I have overcome the world.”

Luke 1:37

“… with Elohim no matter shall be impossible.”

Philippians 1:6

He who has begun a good work in you shall perfect it until the day of יהושע Messiah.

1 Peter 5:6-7

Humble yourselves, then, under the mighty hand of Elohim, so that He exalts you in due time,

casting all your worry upon Him, for He is concerned about you.

Matthew 25:1-13

“Then the reign of the heavens shall be compared to ten maidens who took their lamps and went out to meet the bridegroom. And five of them were wise, and five foolish. Those who were foolish, having taken their lamps, took no oil with them, but the wise took oil in their containers with their lamps. Now while the bridegroom took time, they all slumbered and slept. And at midnight a cry was heard, ‘See, the bridegroom is coming, go out to meet him!’ Then all those maidens rose up and trimmed their lamps. And the foolish said to the wise, ‘Give us of your oil, because our lamps are going out.’ But the wise answered, saying, ‘No, indeed, there would not be enough for us and you. Instead, go to those who sell, and buy for yourselves.’ And while they went to buy, the bridegroom came, and those who were ready went in with him to the wedding feast, and the door was shut. And later the other maidens also came, saying, ‘Master, Master, open up for us!’ But he answering, said, ‘Truly, I say to you, I do not know you.’ Watch therefore, because you do not know the day nor the hour in which the Son of Aḏam is coming."

The oil is His Word/Torah and the Spirit of truth. If He does not see the oil in you, you will not inherit the Kingdom of Yah. You will need His oil to enter the promise land He has for you. The car without oil will burn out its engine and died out. You would either need to replace the whole engine or buy another car. Both are costly to replace. Yahawash/Jesus paid a costly price for you. He is the Oil you will need to reach Yah’s Kingdom. Without this precious Oil, you are dead and burned, like the car without oil.

TEOYM prays that you will make the right decision for your life if you have not believed and received Yahawash/Jesus into your heart. When you do, you will receive His precious Oil: The Spirit of Truth. The Spirit of Truth will help by leading you into all truth of the Word, and guiding you to live Yah’s Torah with power and love. And when He returns, He will recognize Himself within you and welcome you into His paradise.
